Tried making baguettes, they turned onto bread logs LOL. Need some more shaping/scoring practice!

    In the first picture, that middle left one looks really well shaped. Also, I bet they all taste delicious!

    Side blow outs indicate a couple of things – under proofing, not scoring/not scoring deep enough, and baking without steam.

    The scores you made definitely need to be deeper. If you don’t have a lame or sharp enough razor, use a serrated knife for deeper cuts without damaging the bread.

    You also have some shaping issues. If you want a baguette, I’d stretch the same weight of sigh that you are using to almost the whole with of the channel pan. Try to avoid putting pressure on the ends (that’s why you’ve got that pointy one)

    But of course, the most important question is – do they taste like baguettes?
