Ah man, I used to go there often when I lived in that area. Not worth driving all the way over there since I moved but it was a solid local option.

While I’m sad to see them go, I won’t miss them too much. They were great ~2018, a favorite spot of mine, but since ~2019 the food started to be just average for the area. Drinks and vibe were always good though! Regardless, I enjoyed their service and wish the team the best!

Haven’t been in years but it’s true that this place meant a lot of different things to a lot of people I think, back in it’s heyday it was certainly a good option for some late night nightlife when you wanted to keep the party going. Interesting that it’s being changed into a pub isn’t there another pub across the street?

One of those places that was good in most aspects, but not great at anything – that said – a solid option for random networking drinks, dates, and watching daytime sports games with friends. Sad to say, but it’s hard to get a place in LA that you can watch sports at without a certain level of stuffiness. This was an exception.

Lots of good memories at Rush Street. Can’t say I’m sad to see it go…my “drink beers and eat shoestring fries while watching football at a bar” days are behind me. But it was a good hangout spot. Glad they went out on their own terms, and didn’t just crash and close up shop.

The food was good but the people were shady. They were ripping people off with the sales tax. I ended up reporting them to cdtfa, the people in charge of sales tax, because they were charging 12.25% instead of 10.25%. When I asked them why, they said it was what the computer produced and then said it was a supplemental add on when I told them they were cheating people out of their money. I hope cdtfa fined them.

As an Illinois transplant, I was always bitter about them because before they opened, they were hyping their authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza. That never materialized. Also, why name yourself after the worst street in all Chicago?

Back in 2010 this was pretty much the only place you could go for a solid Happy Hour in the area. Surprised it’s held on this long given all of the better options that have popped up in the decade since.
