These were EXTREMELY overrated. I ordered 2 but they added a third for free. They just opened in Larchmont. Each donut is $4 and they’re tiny. I had no idea how much they cost bc I didn’t see prices anywhere. Vanilla bean, salted vanilla and saffron cardamom. They were whatever. Kinda dense and not in a good way. I definitely won’t be going back. $8 plus $2 tip for donuts 🥴 I guess that’s my bad.

Yea- I really wanted to like these. I ordered a tiny one and the flavor was great, but definitely dense. I love that they are a small, black owned business, but I wish the food was more compelling. Fingers crossed!

I was just in Larchmont this morning! Are those any good? I got annoyed with the sign touting themselves as the originator of taro-flavored donuts. 🤣

I like their donuts a lot but the service is slow. They have to figure out a way of getting people in and out more quickly.

Had these in Hawaii. Didn’t think much of them.

I’m not trying to be a wise guy but in pictures they sure look more like bagels
norse_noise
I enjoyed them and I don’t usually like cake donuts.
However they are really tiny and expensive.

Mochi donuts now have my heart

These are so mid, for $4/donut I was mad disappointed 🙁

With a name like that, they had better make me cream my pants the moment the first bite glides over my tongue. The nerve.

Tried a couple: wanted to like them, but found them blah. Wouldn’t go back, but people have different tastes. These ain’t mine tho.

I’m gonna stick with one of my favorite spots on Larchmont: Sam’s Bagels

I had these in Hawaii (both at the Kauai and Oahu locations) and they are WAY better in Hawaii. In Hawaii they are made fresh to order and if I remember correctly they were bigger too! When I first had them in Hawaii they were sooo good, fluffy inside but crispy on the outside and piping hot. When I was in the Larchmont area this last weekend and saw they opened a store I got excited! But I was so disappointed after I ate the ones here. The ones here taste like a stale drier and smaller version of the ones in Hawaii. Unfortunately wouldn’t go back

Wow I am surprised so many people didn’t like these. I don’t like all of their flavors but I think the classics are really good. They’re made from taro so they’re not a normal donut. I love them and while I do think they’re expensive, I just eat them every once in a while as a treat.

Ordered these last week. Each donut is hand made one at a time. ONE. AT. A. TIME Took 25 minutes to get my order…. I was the ONLY person in the store. Not sure how that is sustainable

I really hope they get a truck or storefront in Long Beach
