  1. Looks great! I remembered hearing the name before and I checked my Google Maps list of LA restaurants I’ve yet to visit, and I found it there. For some reason I’ve also added a note saying “order chorizo tacos”, I guess that’s what I’m gonna be ordering then?

These are hands down some of the best tacos I have ever eaten. Although some people would not consider them “traditional” street tacos, the flavor and quality Villa’s Tacos have produced are stellar.

The owner is also a really down to Earth dude. He is always really willing to chat and has not forgotten his roots. Wishing them even more success.

Yum, thanks for the reminder that I need to go back soon.

These are truly outstanding. It’s hard to point to any one thing as the star here. It’s the alchemy that makes Villas amazing. The chicken for instance is, on its own, pretty standard mesquite grilled chicken, but in the context of those seven layers it really pops, as do the rest of the meats.
With all of that said, if i had to pick a favorite it probably is the chorizo and I’m not normally a big chorizo guy. It’s that good.

    Go! Go NOW!

They unfortunately got their front glass smashed last night, but they’re patching up quick. Shame to have to deal with that crap. But don’t miss on their tacos!

  6. Is this from their new brick and mortar? Been meaning to try them for a long time, wondering if there’s any discernible difference in taste/quality between the 2 locations.

I’ve had these a few times now, and maybe it’s a contrarian opinion, but I gotta say I think they look better than they taste. They’re good, but not as good as the hype, imo

Is the brick & mortar location still crazy busy? Victor posted several videos where the line is going down the fucking block.

I was there yesterday at the new location and all was well and delicious. I had the chorizo and pineapple filling on a mulita. They truly are the best taco now.
