Any updates on Ramen Tatsuya’s Tsukemen? Will it ever come back?
The most recent article I’ve seen is this one: https://www.mysanantonio.com/food/article/ramen-tatsuya-menu-tsukemen-17624969.php
I think we all deserve more answers and updates.
Anyone?

Please elaborate. Why do you think customers deserve answers?

Haven’t heard any updates. Michi ramen’s tsukemen was decent, but the last time I went was after the first wave of covid subsided
If you want something interesting, get the mole tsukemen at ramen del barrio in Hana World Market

I saw what happened to that broth after it has been refrigerated and I will never be able to eat it again.

I happened to sit next to Shion (Tatsu’s brother) at dinner recently and asked him about the Tuskemen (my wife’s favorite) and he said they were still working on the recipe and they have every intention of bringing it back. I think everyone just needs to be patient and trust that they didn’t pull the dish out of spite.

Last time I went and asked they said it was an issue with their noodle supplier which felt probably not true but I didn’t press any further…I want it back so bad ☹️ wish they had just jacked the price up if they needed to, instead of taking it completely away. I haven’t eaten there since they dropped it, used to go all the time

I firmly believe they will never bring it back. The excuses are just to placate us for a bit. They’ll just keep saying whatever until we stop asking.
The owner clearly doesn’t want to serve it for some reason, and if it were a priority to the business to bring it back, it would already be available.

Was at the new Lakeline store a week or so ago and I asked this same question. Was simply told “soon”, so idk kind of encouraging but no timetable

This was one of my favorite dishes in Austin – I’m dying for it to come back!

Oh no! That was my one reason to go there, pretty much the only item I always ordered. I guess now I will have to learn how to make it.

According to the staff at the location on South Lamar, Tsukemen will be back early May

it’s odd that they say they’re out bc of an issue with their noodle supplier when they have texas red tsukemen on their menu at tatsuya bbq and i had it within the last month.
btw if you’re craving tsukemen it’s obviously a bit different than “normal” ramen but it was SO good

It may be labor intensive or not cost effective. Epicere stopped making pancakes. Something to do with staffing and kitchen space.
