i live in a dorm with only a microwave and accidentally bought some [food](https://imgur.com/a/pPnobvQ) that needs an oven/air fryer a couple weeks ago. is it possible to cook it in the crock pot i got yesterday?

    it’s not an oven or air fryer. it’s more like a pot that gets hot slowly.

    Depends on what kind of food it is, probably not. There is a ninja crockpot that functions as both. If they still make it.

    I’ve seen where people have used one to bake bread, so yes, in some applications. But you’re not going to get the browning you get in the oven. What did you buy? You can get some advice here or on r/slowcooking as to how to cook it.

    A Crock Pot is a “slow cooker”. Just the opposite of a microwave or an air fryer.

    If you warm your Crock Pot on high for an hour ahead of time think of it as having an oven set for warm. Then you can put your food in there and it will take some time but it will at least get warm eventually. Since the food wasn’t designed to be cooked that way it could turn out really bad.
