I love Glory Hole entirely like as people, a business and a part of the community – but they’re not consistent depending on who mixes the dough.

Also I miss the days where a donut was considered an affordable dessert for all and the dying donut shop trend.

I personally find their donuts to be THICCC, so the ratio of donut to glaze/topping is a bit off for me 🥲

I’ve had many a doughnuts in the city and I’ll say Fourth Man In The Fire has my favourite doughnuts. Their formula is top notch.

Not Toronto, but Daddy-O Doghnuts in Mississauga is great.

New(ish), Frenchie’s in Etobicoke is promising.

I really wish we had good dougnut places and not just instagrammable doughnut.

I want good doughs, not a doughnut just covered in sugar and garbage.

I want good cruellers, proper eclairs, quality Boston creams. Real pastry creams. Real chocolate topping, not shitty sugar glaze.

    Ugh.

  6. Don’t @ me but I really loved Coffee Time’s Boston Cream and eclairs. They taste like real donuts, not some pretty thing that looks good in pics.

  7. I’ve always liked Bloomers much more, personally.

There’s a stall in the Davisville farmer’s market that sells great doughnuts… I’m going to miss them until the market is back in spring

Cops is pretty good. Though I can’t say have had many donuts to compare them to.

Machio doughnuts by Dundas West station. Tiny shop that does really good and not stupid expensive doughnuts.

Sanremo Bakery – I’m sure there are others, but to date this has been my indulgence
