Best smash burger downtown Toronto? I just had Matty’s Patty’s and thought it was top tier.

    I personally like rudys, Matty pattys aren’t bad though.

  2. Also recommend trying:

    * Burger Drops (my favourite one)
    * Rudy’s
    * ExtraBurger
    * HappyBurger
    * Rosie’s (used to be my favourite – the location on Queen and get it with bacon)

    Cabano’s & Burgers Park (North York) are my favourite.

    Burger Drops and Rudy. Mattys Pattys are ok. Not charred enough IMO

    I’m gatekeeping the best Burger Joint in Toronto. And when I say it I mean nearly perfect 1000 reviews type best Burger joint in the city. Everyone will find out eventually cause theyre opening up more locations.

    Surprised nobody has suggested Harry’s yet! That would be my recommendation. It’s also about 5 mins walk from Rudys if you wanted to get them to go and compare at the same time. Happy eating!

    Hands down Cabano’s (original location at Yonge and Charles) as the best burger. Even their own franchises can’t beat the original

  8. The new place on st Claire JABS “just another burger place “ is fantastic and made me love burgers agian

    I’ve been in the smash burger eating business for years (kinda sad). It’s come to the point that they all kind of taste the same (the patty’s at least). Now I look for the quality of bun, cheese and sauce.

    My suggestion is to try the most basic cheese burgers of all the suggestions above to get a proper baseline. Then branch out and get more adventurous menu items. Or do whatever you want, I’m not the Burger King lol

    My current favs:
    Harry’s Charbroiled
    Burger Drops
    Matty’s Patty

    That’s not a burger. That’s a close up of your arteries.

    Matty’s and Rudy’s are the best I’ve tried.

    Never heard of Cabanos but will try it. Happy burger is pretty good or there’s simple burger on Bloor near Christie station

    had the burger when it first came out. enjoyed it very much but found it to a few dollar overpriced but a VERY SOLID burger. the fries are pitiful tho

    Matty’s Patty’s is good but it’s not worth the wait.

    It takes too long to get your food and by the time you get your burger, it’s cold.

    I love Matty’s Patty’s Impossible patty cheeseburger – that Matty’s sauce, that sesame-encrusted bun, that melty American cheez…..<drools>

    Matty Patty’s is overpriced. I’m not sure if it’s a smash burger but factoring in price I’d rather eat Fresh Burger 10/10 times.

  17. Harry’s Charbroiled for sure! Just remember to get a double patty cause one will leave you wanting more!
