I haven’t been there in ages. Need to make a visit.

What’s the case you’re making? Thumbs up or down compared to old Cassels?
bobdolebobdole
it’s good, but honestly, for a $16, 1/3lb, a-la-carte cheeseburger, that burger shouldn’t be so much smaller than the bun. I pay the same for potatoes that I used to pay 10 years ago, and cooking oil is not far off either. In bulk it’s even cheaper I’m sure. Just throw some fries in if you’re gonna charge $16 for this. These prices are really killing me.

Where’s the food? Portions look super small

Best things there are the Patty Melt and the Hashbrown…
I’m torn. Cassells was great when it opened but the burger landscape isn’t as developed as it is now. Today, it’s a strong. Urgent with small portions and high cost in a competitive environment.

Is it better than Plan Check ?

I’m not sure what case it is you intended to make, but that looks like a typical plain diner cheeseburger, and I’d be disappointed if I paid more than $10 for it.

The case of the missing hamburger patty?
HipsterDoofus31
Not saying it’s bad, but looks like cafeteria food.
Also, should probably have taken a picture from the burger from the side. I see nothing besides a shiny bun with a burnt top and regular looking cut burger veggies on the side. Fries don’t look crispy.

Went once and never going back. Boring burger and was way over cooked. Way too many better options for same price in the area. It was hyped up for me and I finally tried after a few years.

Looks boring as hell. Giant bun, sauce and lettuce/tomato/pickles on the side?! Shake shack >>>>>> this, probably cheaper too

I hear old Cassels was better. The new owners got rid of many aspects that were important. The meat is different.

Gotta get onion rings if you’re an onion rings fan

With that sad ass tomato.

They are not bad, but their prices are insane for what you get. Fatburger is a couple blocks away and it’s good, arguably maybe even better, and significantly less… especially if you are also ordering drinks.

Not a huge fan of the burger but they have great sides, fries, onion rings and shakes

Is that a salad from the Krusty Krab ?

Listen guys. I made a mistake. I love Cassell’s and selfishly assumed everyone else did too. That’s on me. I hope moving forward I can regain the trust of the congregation.
