My everyday college food. Five pieces of siomai, two cups of rice, crushed dried garlic, calamansi+soy sauce (toyomansi) and chilli oil. Everything’s good to go.

Is Filipino Siomai related/similar to shāomài from Hohhot China? Because I’ve been there and love that stuff, also love Filipino food.
The wrapping looks to be done a little differently and I don’t recognize the green, but otherwise looks very similar.
