Veggie sausages and bacon almost as good as the real thing! Beans, tinned toms, mushrooms fried in butter, hash browns, eggs and This Isn’t Bacon and This Isn’t Pork sausages. Washed down with Yorkshire Tea and juices mopped up with buttery tiger bread.

  1. My wife is pescatarian so we’ve been trying a lot of veggie alternatives. I still eat meat when we go out or occasionally as a treat but honestly if the veggie bits in this meal were replaced with supermarket meat I wouldn’t have found it any better. Got a long way to go to match butchers’ sausage and bacon though.

I tried the Richmond sausages on a barbecue last summer and to be honest they tasted great.

Not quite the same, but close and nice tasting. Richmond did a great job with them.

Not a veggie myself, but most of my family is and I’ve had plenty of ‘can’t tell the difference’ alternatives over the years and nothing came close – mostly tasting like carpenters floor sweepings, but recently this new veggie stuff is pretty good – they have loads of stuff in the Aldi.

Are they This Isn’t bacon? I had it the other day and it’s so, so good

Meat alt but you’re eating the eggs? 🙄

Those eggs are done absolutely perfectly! Salute those eggs.

Looks good, but I’m a bit meh about veggie-meat; for me, vegetarian breakfast is 3 eggs, 4 hash browns, mushroom and tomatoes with toast on the side.

Almost. Almost – You do you, I’m sticking to the ‘real thing’

If you’re going to be a vegan, be a vegan. Don’t eat pretend meat… 🙂

    But it DOES look good
