    I found this online; The best substitutes for kasseri are kefalotyri, caciocavallo, mozzarella, asiago, romano, colby, or provolone. They won’t perfectly mimic the original cheese, but they all have excellent melting properties and won’t overwhelm your food with a pungent flavor. Although the krogers near me does carry kaşar peyniri.

  5. Man I remember Menemen from when I visited Turkey, I’d forgotten all about it! It was a lifesaver as a vegetarian.

    We make the Syrian version of this in my house with egg whites, Aleppo pepper, and Syrian cheese.
