Last year Helen’s Wines (affiliated with Jon & Vinny’s) offered whole cakes for order. We got one for my daughter’s birthday and it was incredible! Not one of those beautiful cakes that just tastes like sugar. This cake tasted amazing and was gorgeous too. Flash forward to this year and I go to order one and they don’t seem to offer them anymore. Does anyone know who used to make them? I’m following up with the shop too but haven’t heard back yet and the birthday is at the end of the week!

Kismet has cakes by Meadow Ramsey and they look pretty similar so I wonder if it’s her.

Ok, update. So Helen’s doesn’t have them anymore but you can still order through Jon & Vinny’s – hooray! Crisis averted. I think this is one of the best kept secrets out there. Such an excellent cake!
Look up Rose Wilde of Red Bread. She’s the best in LA.
