I maintain Singapore’s is the best. Insofar as it’s the national dish ;). It is great hangover food.

This is one of the best dishes in south east asia. Malaysia and singapore also have a varation of chicken rice. Only a few yeara ago they added crispy chicken or crispy duck instead of boiled chicken.

So good. I ate this 3/5 days a week for lunch at the school I taught at. Cheap and delicious.

This is so easy to make at home. I cook mine using the sous vide method. Just make sure to obtain all the proper herbs, such as pandan leaves, for your dish to taste authentic and flavorful.

I feel the need to point out it’s not boiled in the traditional sense, like the way you cook pasta, it’s placed in boiling water and then reduced to a bare simmer, sometimes the flame is even shut off. It’s more accurately a long poach.
On top of that the rendered fat is used, often with garlic, to cook the rice as well.
