This was from a few years ago. The stalls were outside our hotel around Soi Sukhumvit 11

I miss eating street foods but I’m avoiding it due to Covid-19

How much for all that? I heard street food in Bangkok is pretty cheap. Vietnam was like 4 dollars for a big bowl of noodles, spring roll and a beer.

Good stuff. The pineapple and veggie skewers on the right- I used to get those all the time. I would make a dinner of those, some sticky rice, and maybe a drink from 7-11.

What are the intestines like? I’ve never had them, I’m super curious! What’s the texture and taste like?

Thai street food is the best in the world. Easy.
Haven’t been everywhere, but 20+ countries later I can’t find anything better.

One of the best memories I ever had of a holiday was in Phuket.
My family was waiting in the hotel room, recovering from the days heat in the Aircon. I was tasked with going out to the streets to get dinner.
I was queuing at a hawker stall as he was bbq some chicken skewers. I was at the front of the queue and a beautiful russian teenager was behind me.
Suddenly it started raining heavily and there was a black out in the area. 3 of us – the hawker, me and girl tried to hide away from the rain under this tiny umbrella in near total darkness.
Due to the heat of the day, the rain was a welcomed relief. The girl took out 3 cold beers from her shopping bag and shared it among us. English seen to be the common language here but both of them are not very fluent. However, we had a blast.
3 total strangers sharing a beer under an umbrella on a rainy night in a flooded street. Covered in BBQ smoke.
Fuck covid.

Delicious delicious delicious, where are you finding this right now?
I thought all of the night markets and street vendors were closed by order of the government due to the virus? Or at least they’re all closed in KK.

I want to go to Thailand just to experience Pad Thai from an actual native street vendor. That, to me, is the ultimate street food.
Now I just need someone to pay for me to go there. And for COVID to go away.
