I feel like following the ‘lose weight fast’ would 100% lead to a binge by the second/third day

A 500 calorie deficit isn’t healthy or sustainable for everyone. That’s why weight loss slows down as one nears a healthy weight – the calorie deficit, by necessity, is smaller so weight loss is slower. That’s also why I don’t allow apps or websites or fitness devices to determine my calorie deficit. I’ll figure out what deficit works best for me, thanks.

You must be pretty slim already, or short. If you’re a binger, better reduce less calories and lose weight slower instead of risking going back and forth. Exercise is your best friend, add some workouts to speed up the process or in order to be able to eat more

i agree with everyone else in that saying you must be smaller already. 1713 to maintain your weight says as much, seeing as to maintain weight generally is closer to 2000, at least that’s my case.

but you should really only deficit what you can. for example, my deficit is 1400, but it doesn’t mean i don’t go over every now and then. i’m still gradually losing weight. but that’s only cause it’s a deficit i can stick to, and other times, i deficit even more than 1400 cause my body isn’t hungry. something is only as long term sustainable as you make it, so make sure it’s something you can stick to, something that meets your end goal and a one you can do consistently.

  4. How much do you currently weigh, and whats your height and age? There’s so much info missing here to be able to provide you with info on why these numbers popped up.

I assume you’re short – I’m 5’3″ (well, 5’2.5 lol)- I just played with the numbers my rmr at a BMI of 32 was actually lower than that, my BMI has dropped since so it’s lower again – so it’s entirely possible to be quite overweight and actually need to drop weight but not have a lot of calorie space to do so.

Two options – move lots (bearing in mind most people vastly overestimate how much movement they do). Or eat less.

My rmr at the lowish end of healthy BMI would be less than 1350 cal.
