I need to hit this spot! I would always walk by it during my HS years.

I saw a video of this place and owner seems so sweet. I’d love to check it out someday, does anyone know if it’s easy to find parking?

Every Angeleno should watch City of Ghosts anyway, but there’s an episode of the show that “profiles” Otomisan (with a character even voiced by Otomisan’s owner’s daughter).

Been here before. Sweet staff and good food.

Most people have forgotten that Boyle Heights, Monterey Park, and Alhambra used to have huge Japanese American communities three generations ago. I had no idea this place still existed and will go this month.

The owner was, politely, complaining that they’ve blown up so much because of the Vice video that she’s totally overwhelmed.

Guys, the place is SMALL. Try not to go on busy days, they’re getting bombarded. It’s a small crew too.

Its blown up now? Jeez. Used to live close by and loved this place even though only went a few times. First time we went everyone was watching a crazy car chase on this little tv at the end of the bar / counter and chatting it up. Super homestyle. Good times
