Hey everyone,
I’ve been trying to lose weight for some time now, but only these two months I started tracking consistently and upped my protein intake. I’m trying to lose fat and build muscle recomp style, as I’m still a beginner at lifting weights. I’m doing this slow and steady, trying to not restrict and enjoy the process. My calories vary 1500-1700 depending on the day and my needs. I also follow Sydney Cummings programs, for 5/6 days a week.
I was getting discouraged by the scale so I thought to try the Methreesixty app as another way of measuring my progress. Progress pictures also helped, since I can see a significant difference in my body, I feel like my whole body is firmer and less “jiggly” in a way haha.
Just wanted to share this, because a lot of times the scale messes up with us and gets us discouraged. I know Methreesixty is not that accurate, but I’ve found it to be accurate on tracking at least the trend of my fat loss journey. Progress pics are the best in the end, but sometimes your mind plays games and you can’t see any difference even between progress pics. So I think it helps sometimes to see actual numbers, like fat percentage get lower, even if the percentage itself isn’t the most accurate!!
Keep going!
