Scrolling through here I realised there are not enough indian foods. So here’s one. These are called pakoras/fritters. Fried indian snack usually eaten with tea/ketchup on rainy days.. Being fried, this isn’t one of the healthiest food but surely is one of the tastiest.

i love onion pakoras, there’s an indian place near my house that has em.
They look delicious! What’s the other sauce with the ketchup and what ingredients are in the pakoras?
Love a good pakora!
Pakora is a post-night out staple food in Glasgow. Chicken, Veg, Fish, Haggis, it’s all good.
Thank you for this! There is nothing like pakoras and tea on a rainy day.
Damn you’re right. Keep the Indian food coming!
Onion pakoras, chilli pakoras are my favorite. And the the niche ones which I think (but I’m probably wrong) banana (peel?) Pakoras especially the ones that you get from the road stalls at Marina beach are also phenomenal.
Soooooo good!!
mint cilantro chutney the hell outta these bad boys
Its legit pakora as it’s served on newspaper. No gatekeeping, just saying.
pakoras are my new favourite food istg. a local place sells them and they’re divine.
I always shamelessly get a lot of pakoras when I hit the buffet.
I used to work at a place that was full of employees and had a huge cultural spread, each group having many representatives.
There were so many Indian holidays that the Indian employees would cook for. Many many Samosas.
However, one time someone made this desert/breakfast type thing; someone told me it was pancake batter spread out like laces and cooked in this liquid orange sugar stuff.
So it was deepfried and almost pure sugar but damn it was delicious! Those guys/girls can cook!
I really need to make some more of these, my ex used to make them all the time, the mushroom ones she made were magnificent.
Wow. What does it taste like? Looks delicious!
Pakora = life! sad thing they don’t taste nice the day after. Fresh Pakoras only.
I found the ketchup in India to be sweeter and more tomato flavored than an American brand like Heinz.
I love pakora! You’ve just reminded me of them, so thank you!
Pakoras are wonderful when they are crunchy/crisp!
Dal pakoras are my favorite! We made some when we were in Jaipur and it was delightful!
What exactly is fried? A vegetable?
Anyone elses family make these? I’m from a desi family and see these being made every so often
I’ve had these with green onion, mint and some other green things sauce and they’re fantastic
