There is something lurking in the soil killing my plants and it’s not an insect! Beware because it might be in your soil as well.

Thanks for the kind words and support 😁🐕❤️

  1. Can’t you tarp it? Will that kill them? Or can you put potatoes with weed cloth? What about diatomaceous earth?

  2. I love this, your energy is contagious, you made me smile throughout the whole video. Thank you, and for the reminder that nothing is promised in the garden. Your garden is amazing, I can only imagine what it's going to be when all your fruits of your labour come to the table! Yummy. Also, and not to forget, Tucker! What a cutie. I love how Tucker follows you around. Good luck with those pests! I wonder how they got there??

  3. Don't throw out the soil. Get some liquid seven and do a soil drench to get 12 to 15 inches deep. That will take care of your problem. Then after a few weeks dig down to see if your interested pest problem is done if so plant the bed.

  4. I can only suggest, not knowing if it would work, to place a sheet of plastic over it for a few weeks. Then plant African Marigolds (not the French variety) as a cover crop. The African Variety was being test years ago to see if their roots are parasitic towards nematodes. I never learned the results but the repellent properties may work organically.

  5. You can kill them by deep tilling deep in the bed. Those worms travel by worm trails. When you deep till they starve.

  6. 7 dust! For those bugs! Scratch it down into the soil around a 1/2 inch or so and it will take care of those worms, my mom insisted on the stuff when I was a kid. I now use it. So over 60 years using it! It works! However next year the eggs might hatch, causing a bigger infestation. I would move all of the root veggies. Wash them off in a bucket, completely submerge the whole plant, and then transplant to another bed. That's the only way to guarantee they don't spread, drown them in a bucket before transplanting! Just a suggestion take them, or leave it, it's your garden, good luck brother!
