1 lbs ground beef
2 teaspoons of worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
dash of salt (i didn’t use low sodium broth so if you do add about 1 teaspoon or to taste)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 red chili flakes
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon gochujang
2 cups of beef broth
1 cup of water
3 cups of instant rice
Optional items: broccoli, sugar snap peas, asparagus, bell peppers…. use your imagination.
Brown the beef on medium-high, breaking it up as you go along. When the beef is almost done add the worcestershire, vinegar, salt, peppers and reduce to medium heat.
When the liquid reduces by half add the hoisin and gochujang. Cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the broth and turn heat up to high, add the rice.
Once the liquid is boiling turn off the heat and cover for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice and cook on medium to medium-high heat for a few minutes to get a bit of a crust of rice on the bottom.
Serve with a salad or something to cool your mouth as this is a bit spicy.
