My friend calls them just “dip” eggs rather than dippy. I’ve always called them melted yolk eggs because I didn’t know they had a name. But I definitely prefer making them over anything else

At a NJ diner we’d call that an over-easy egg. If you want it less runny you’d ask for over-medium.
