The [meatball in question](https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/28/world/mammoth-meatballs-cultured-meat-climate-scn/index.html) was not created for human consumption, and the scientists said they have not tasted it because of safety concerns. The image of a giant ball of meat on a flat stone is not something a chef or restaurateur thought was a good way to serve food.
While lab grown meat is an interesting topic when it comes to the future of food, it is off-topic to this sub.
