   Despite being a big fan of regular and traditional plates

   You could give me a runny in the middle scotch egg with mustard on ANYTHING and I would still eat it

   I dunno boss, that’s just a wooden plate. Albeit with a handle so that’s weird. Unless you’re saying the other end didn’t have a lip to it like a shovel would. Looks very similar to [this one.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/585168477/wooden-plate-wooden-dishes-natural-wood)

   I think by the time a shovel is made of wood, you can safely call that a serving platter.

   I have yet to find a place that will actually serve a scotch egg with a runny yolk. I love runny yolks, too. I just wish I could find one that isn’t a hard boiled scotch egg.
