Curried Chickpea Burgers

  1. I would definitely order this again. It was pretty simple to make and satisfying. I think if I had had some onions on hand I would have put them on top of the burger in addition to the tomato — the tomato in itself is an interesting choice because it is firmer than the actual chickpea burger. And yes, I know, there are already lots of scallions within the recipe, but I am a big onion fan. I did add more garlic than what was in the bag, no regrets at all. It does suffer from the problem of being a bit too soft to hold its form when you bite into it, a common problem of all versions of veggie burger I am finding. If I were to make it again, I would add more curry powder than called for to the chickpea mix for a bit more flavor. Emir got a potato wedge and he thought it was awesome.

Thanks for the review! I was wondering about this recipe. And hello to Emir! Glad he enjoyed some potato. 🙂

I enjoyed this one as well. I made 4 patties, even though I only have the 2-person plan. I saved the cooked patties in the fridge and will have the rest in the next few days. The jam-mayo-mustard sauce is the bomb!

I love this recipe and the similar Cajun Kidney Bean sandwich one that is offered at times. I get the 2 person plan and always make 4 instead of cutting the ingredients in half.

I love this recipe!! I remember when it was new I was unable to try it, but now it’s a hall of fame recipe!! The Mayo you make is so good

Forget the burger, what in the world kind of dog is that?
