So, are you actually able to eat this with your hands? It looks like everything would fall apart if you took a slice

That looks bomb!! I’ve only had the Palo Seco one.
Some of the south spots that are under appreciated to me on here are: Hawaii nei, Thicket spots un mundo de sabor, Reems, artipasta, and song La, SBK middle eastern, Whitfields bbq, Moreno bbq, Cali tacos, El Paso flauta, mama fried, biggies yardbird there’s probably more I’m not thinking of atm

Pizzadilla reminds me of that one Brooklyn 99 episode

I hit up The Thicket all of the time because it’s literally a 6 minute walk from my house so I jotted down my faves.
The Jessica from Brooklyn Breakfast Shop is the tits, especially with a fried egg on top. Their French toast changes monthly and is usually pretty great too if you want something sweet.
Song La has a pork chop bento box that I’d slap my mother for. And the lady who runs the truck is awesome. $10 and I’m usually stuffed but I always want seconds.
The Mexican truck (I always forget the name) has the best carnitas tacos in the city. Feel free to throw out some competing restaurants/trucks if you think I’m wrong, I’m always open to eating more tacos.

Brown’s BBQ– the meat is the star, but the cabbage is unbelievably good.

Holy smokes look at that thing. Makes me thankful I don’t have subsidized healthcare- I’m not paying for your heart surgery

This is actually my favorite gem in the city right now

Don’t sleep on Fatboyz hibachi right in the same food truck lot! Soo good.

Not sure if Valentina’s still qualifies- unsure if they’ve moved already or if it’s too well known to be a gem. Literally the best tortillas I’ve ever had and the BBQ is among the best in the city.
There’s a couple of good Cajun/Creole spots down there but the names evade me.

I was a big fan of Mudbugs (terrible name for a nicer restaurant) in downtown Buda when I went a few months ago. Drinks were killer. Artwork in the men’s restroom was interesting, too.
