Graduation dinner at King’s Fish House with our families.
No formal notes, but I enjoy getting other people’s impressions of a lineup I have chosen specifically for a special occasion.
The Pierre Péters was a big hit as the first bottle opened. We all agreed it was fruity and flowery.
The Roederer 243 did not garner a lot of comments, but it was a nice champagne. To be fair, it had stiff competition.
Biggest response was for the Meursault. People couldn’t believe it was Chardonnay, and my sister had previously commented that she doesn’t like Chardonnay. She was the biggest taker. Consensus was aromatic, fruity and slightly stinky (it was a tad reduced, but in the most pleasant way).
It is always fun to share some of my favorites and find out others feel the same way.

Congrats to my lovely wife for her achievements.
