I used a combination of the [Serious Eats recipe](https://www.seriouseats.com/serious-eats-halal-cart-style-chicken-and-rice-white-sauce-recipe) and the [Ethan Chlebowski recipe](https://www.ethanchlebowski.com/cooking-techniques-recipes/street-cart-chicken-amp-yellow-rice) (which is [Kenji López-Alt approved](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqqJQ_cXSat0KIAVfIfKkVA/community?lb=UgzFUwFbEB7rlcfTCLJ4AaABCQ)). My chicken marinade was the Serious Eats recipe plus a little ground cumin. The rice recipe was closer to the Serious Eats version but with diced onion and smoked paprika from Ethan Chlebowski’s.
