We are working feverishly to become as self sustainable as possible. We have made the decision to start building a solar system and gradually add onto it that will support our needs and pops needs in the years to come. It’s no secret that Texas is having electrical grid issues and has since 2021. the population in Texas is increasing so quickly that we do not have the infrastructure to support it. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure Our safety and our family safety in the future.

3 large solar panels will run a 3/4 ton mini split AC unit….on a sunny day in TX. Night time operation will require a good sized battery bank..
Another idea is get a used 300 gal propane tank and a propane powered generator for nighttime and cloudy days.
I hate the crowds moving into TX…both from the Lefty states and from the South Border.

Hey Jill it's crazy how much Texas is growing. We were in a small town now the city is creeping up on us. They need to build more power plants not broadcast systems. We are concerned about losing power to our freezers. We are going to look into a generator. The 2030 agenda will never happen. They will have to COME and Take It away from this Green Beret VET. The United Nations is a joke. (Sorry I needed to vent) 😁 We are looking forward to seeing the porch build. Keep growing and God Bless.
ohgoodness those are some high bills we are complaining in Pennsylvania about 250-dollar electric bills and 350-dollar gas bills i just dont know how we are all gonna go on like this i have cut everything i could and we are still barely scraping by

Just double check how it works being connected to the grid…my understanding was that you are generating power for the electric company, but if the power goes out you will also lose power. Maybe having your own batteries not connected to the grid will work, but I never understood that part. My husband is gathering supplies so we can no on solar only. Running electric service to our property would cost about the same as a small solar set up. Instead of paying a bill, we will just add to the system we we set up.

I paid my last debts off today. We just bought a farm 17 acres. We own a business and we are moving our business on our property. Our farm is on a corner and we have one neighbor at this time. We will work hard to pay off this property and save to buy any land near us if we can. I will be saving for a propane generator. It’s scary times I will be moving my entire stockpile. It’s going to take some time to move I haven’t moved in 26 years. It’s taken us that long to get to a place where we could afford to move. Praying for us all.

What few understand, even if you pay off the mortgage you don't really own, your basically renting from the state, because if you don't pay the tax the state will take the house or land. Its getting so bad in sherman, the local hospital wnj stopped paying its employees a month ago and now in the process of closing the doors.

And yeah the area population has grown big time, its not just they are building homes like crazy here but they going up in about a month, it normally would take 6 months to finish a house from scratch . 15 yeas experience in two different categories, medical and home construction.
