I have a craving for alfajores (like an Argentinian shortbread sandwhich cookie with dulce de leche in the middle) so I did some Googling and [Latin Bakery](https://www.instagram.com/latinbakeryaustin/) popped up and looks pretty much what I’m craving but it doesn’t look like it has a store-front so was wondering if anyone had purchased from there before and what to expect. I also live in South Austin and this place looks like it’s North so maybe that’s why I’m a little hesitant on ordering – am I willing to drive possibly an hour for a cookie XD

Oh man, this was me a few weeks ago and I ended up just making them myself. (But it was a pain, so following for next time I get a craving.)

  2. Cafe Nena’i usually has alfajor de maizena

I like Buenos Aires Cafe for alfajores but also Plaza Colombian has some smaller decent ones that are very good as well, and they have arepas!!! Plaza Colombian is in South Austin too.

Look up Bakecation by glo on instagram, she’s on a break but they’re really good. I know comadre had them once too!

I’ve been ordering from Latin Bakery for several years. I’ve purchased lots of alfajores and cakes for family parties. I love the alfajores. They melt on the tongue.
