Has anyone ever used their chicken cutlets, chicken breast strips, or bacon the 7th day of delivery? These recipes are from 05/28 and I wasn’t able to make them.. and already got my new box delivered today 😭 I most likely will toss them but wondering if anyone else has used meat on the 7th day.

Should be good in the vacuum seal- double check your veggies

    If they’re frozen I think they’re fine??

I’ve done it a few times on 6th or 7th day, no problems yet but it does make me a little paranoid.

I have several times with their chicken and several times was it clearly rotten 🙁 now I freeze everything and take it out the night before.

I’m typically making my last meal on the 7th day every week, so I’ve done it plenty of times. The only ones I worry about leaving until the last day are shrimp and if it looks like the package of meat is leaking. (I just use those first)

Oh yes, many times. Meat should be okay as long as its sealed and in the fridge, ive never had any issues with meat, but vegetables on the other hand after day 5 seems to be a problem for me. Ive learned to check the bags and gauge what we have first based on what looks like it wont make it a few more days, and sadly lately it seems to be getting worse.

Smell it. If it’s bad you will know.

I have. If they look fine, and smell fine, they should be fine.

I have. But when I receive them, I put them immediately in the freezer, only when I am sure I will cook them, I put them in the refrigerator.

I’ve had chicken smell off on the 7th day and I didnt use it cause I was scared.(like a chicken I guess) I’d rather throw meat out and get another from the shops than have to hug the toilet for the next couple days.

Definitely had veggies that looked/smelled off before the week was done so I just try not to put off HF meals and just skip a week when I know im busy.

I’ve gone up to 10 days on pork and chicken several times (three meals, four servings and skip every other week) and never had meat go bad. But, if it loses vacuum, cook it immediately.

I freeze my meat and seafood when the box arrives ( excepts that nights dinner). In the morning I put the protein for that nights recipe in the fridge.
