Beautiful food forest! Thank you for all the amazing tips and tricks. Especially the fertilizer videos.
Beautiful!
Happy Birthday to Daisy !!! I can see how you are getting backed up with your garden. I mean over a half an hour just to show us it all! Fantastic.I love seeing your garden thrive!!
What do you do with all the figs??
Would love to hear if you figure out what’s going on with the DSJG as far as it being green when you cut back, but ultimately not growing back. I’m having the same issue here is central Texas with a number of my fig trees, DSJG being one of them. I suspect cold damage in sporadic places that is not seen (lower down trunk) & may be preventing adequate sap flow.. So frustrating 😢
On a good note, your yard n garden look absolutely amazing 👍🏼
Can you post a url to the white bird barrier that you use for your blueberry plants?
Love watching and learning from your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge…
Help! We have an aphid and white fly infestation up here in the north east. They are on my tomatoes. Do you have any suggestions for getting rid of them?
Probably dumb question but you have to put your coffee in inside in the winter… right?
16:55 awesome product idea!!! Adjustable length garden tripod with a pully at the top to drop the string down. Kinda like the old Coleman tripods for cooking over campfires
Thanks for the tour. I enjoyed that. Im a new gardener and I’m just up the road from you in J-Ville, so I pretty much do everything you do lol😅
You have so many tomatoes! I really need to get on this string thing. I've had 2 big tomatoes with chewed up tops this week because squirrels or birds can stand on the cattle panel they're up against and have at them. Now the rest of them are bagged up in mesh!
We live in central NC so the timing of what we do matches what you do when you upload the video. Great! My question is how do you know if the straw bales weren’t grown on Grazon treated pastures?
My figs tree is not doing good this year. can I buy from you a fig tree? for Nebraska weather. Thank you for valuable information we all get from you.
What do you do with all this food?
What do you use for mulch in your raised beds?
Great job! Really enjoy seeing all the different things you're growing and trying out. Very inspiring! Thank you for your time and effort to educate others!
keep picking to get more fruits
I would love a link to the party time cucumber seeds! I have been looking for them. Do they go under another name sometimes?
[ts because you keep picking that they still grpw
and of course give glory to GOD FOR His Help
As He gave you your smarts bless God America
You really do well in your Garden
I can't seem to get any tomatoes to ever play ball in my growing zone. They die as fast as they grow. I wind up with long 4-5 foot stalks with just 4 or 5 sad leaves on it and then the whole thing dies. Months wasted. I've no problem with root vegetables, cucurbits, lettuce, brocs, carrots, onions, all great. Never tomatoes.
It all looks great! As a long time subscriber, I would really appreciate hearing about your fruit tree spray program…I try to buy the most disease resistant cultivars, but little success so far (zone 8A-AR)
Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and tips. It has been very helpful for me here in GA Zone 8A. I've been starting to work on ant control this year.
I'm in Wilmington. Raspberries that grow well for me are fall gold, caroline, and heritage but I like geritage the least. Blackberries- Ponca and Vonn do best for me.
🤍
Great garden! Have you thought of planting any companion flowers?
Good to hear Pineapple Gauva is easy, I got 2 this year.
Does your wife like flowers? You should encourage her to get into native wildflower gardening! You could get some really good video of butterflies.
Hi there, your videos and your garden are so inspiring – you do an awesome job! Have you fed your avocado with zinc? I've learned that no zinc, no avocado crop… just an idea.
I did the straw bale gardening a few years back, and hated it. I did all my research, bought several books and followed the instructions to the letter. I didn't have a trellis like you (It would've made a difference). The bales won't support tomato cages, they're just too flimsy. Also, none of the books mentioned what is now termed as "smooshing" your bales. As the center of the bale breaks down into beautiful soil, air gaps form which stops all growth on the plant. You need to compress the bales as they decompose to prevent the air pockets from killing your plants. The smooshing could lower the level of your plants so I would account for the lowering of the plant when stringing it up (give them some slack). You can also insert potting mix or soil into the bale by making a hole and just shoving hands full of soil into the bale then pull the straw back together. I have a Paw paw patch which is taking over my yard. I planted three varieties shortly after the purchase of our house. It took eight years, eight, to finally start getting fruit. Now 25 years later I have more fruit and trees than I can handle. I love your gardens and plantings and I really enjoy watching and learning from you. Thank you for what you do.
Looks great. Congratulations!
Do you have a video on growing in straw bails? I’m curious how you do it. Your plants look great!
