Their food is so good that I was surprised to learn the owners are from Chicago, because this place takes me back to being a kid in Mississippi and eating my grandmother’s cooking. The candied yams are ridiculous. The greens are top tier. The cornbread is perfectly sweet but not too cake-like, and the hush puppies have been absolute perfection every time. And Kool-Aid on tap. What’s not to love?

Just went thanks to this post. Had the fish with mac & cheese, fried cabbage. Added cornbread and hush puppies. Everything was delicious! I’ll say I prefer the catfish from Cherry Creek though.
Loved the Kool-aid.
