I was there yesterday also. I can’t believe how packed this place was at 9p on a weekday, but that’s LA for ya! The whipped eggplant was delicious but my main dish of truffle pasta was underwhelming. Would still go back and maybe try something else.

That whipped eggplant dip is CRACK. I would never have assumed when ordering it how freaking fire it would be. It’s so interesting and surprising!!

i honestly don’t love their food for the most part, but the whipped eggplant is bomb. i sometimes go just for that. their drinks are good too — love their japanese penicillin

Love the eggplant but the bread is also so good. Used it to dip in the octopus salad dressing too and I can dip it in anything and it would be great!

I try to catch a late lunch before checking out a movie next door and always get a bar seat with a good view. So relaxing when there’s no crowd.

I love the vibe there! I loved the bread but the eggplant was meh. The other dishes we had were unremarkable but I’d definitely go back to try something else.
