It’s probably going to be super packed they just opened today and we went right around 4 pm before the crowds to check it out. It’s really hot outside and there’s not really any fans. It’s a neat photo op and there’s a maze in the back! It reminds me of that neon sign museum in vegas. It’s free for all to enter. There was only 1 taco truck on site but it sounds like they plan to add way more. It felt like a graveyard of old Austin spots.

    I wouldn’t be able to hang without feeling sad…it’s a boneyard 🙁

Alright! I got a bar kinda near my house!

  5. Wow this was much more reminiscent than I expected 🙁

We considered going last night, but quickly decided the cons outweighed the pros of going opening night.

“It’s like a wax museum with a pulse “. I’m not sure nostalgia is a good business model.

  8. So THAT’S what that is! I drive down 969 to get to work/city in general and saw all the signs and them clearing out everything. Cool!

Where is the shade?? An outdoor bar in Austin with all the seating in the open… seems like a lovely place to hang out when it feels like 112.

This is the real deal. They have been collecting for years and looks amazing because it is a passion project, totally unique and original and just what Austin needed in a way that bridges old and new Austin.

    Looks like you’ll roast.
    Maybe in the fall.

It looks so good. Great concept. But anytime I see a place that sells liquor with interactive stuff like games I immediately know that place is sticky like a Chuck E. Cheese. Fuck man, the pandemic really did a number on me I think I may be a germaphobe now.

  14. is that the Gourdoughs sign from the closed S Lamar location?

Great, I can drink while staring at the Buffalo Billiards sign and crying.

Are these all just signs from places that lost to changing times/different demographics/lockdowns etc?

respectfully looks lame as hell…… what do they even serve drink/food wise?

  18. LaCabezaGrande

Very cool!!! Can’t wait to try that outside bar in maybe …. October.

  19. Man. That’s out there. Can’t see myself driving that far east for beers and nostalgia

Love the Dallas sign. Where my mom probably danced with your dad and vice versa back in the day lol
