Welcome to my vegetable garden! I’m gardening in Connecticut (zone 6) on about two acres of land, and I’d love to show you around my garden. I have an established main vegetable garden, plus we recently built a new garden in our side yard, and between the two gardens, we’re growing lots of food this year!

  1. I love your suggestion for growing lettuce under the broccoli so I did the same thing! Such a great use of space, thanks!

  2. Everything looks great! It is amazing how much more garden space you have now. I’m looking forward to seeing how the zucchini does with the tomatoes. Have you tried just starting more cucumbers in pots and letting them get bigger before you plant them out? I’ve never had any trouble transplanting cucumbers. Maybe it depends on the variety? We do have a lot of trouble directly sowing because we have so many birds that enjoy digging around in the garden. We always do better with transplants.

  3. Everything is so beautiful. It’s usually a cut worm that does that to the plants. My dad and nana used to plant about a half, maybe a little less, toilet paper roll and add a bit of coffee grounds mixed in the soil. I believe I remember my nana using foil instead of the toilet paper roll. There are a lot of tricks everyone has for those annoying little worms. I hope it helps ❤
