Where can I get my hands on these paper thin delicacies? I’d prefer not to hike down to 7th if I can avoid it. Doesn’t look like Central Market stocks them anymore.

I get them at H‑E‑B all the time.

They are good but might I recommend Fiesta Tortilla Factory in south East Austin close to BURLESON Rd.? These are sooooo gooood!

Poco Loco on Airport Blvd has them

I think the factory is on e 7th. They sell them there!!

  5. They’re often difficult to find. As others have mentioned, check the smaller chains here rather than H‑E‑B. I see them all the time, but they also ask out fast. The company has/had a warehouse here that was open to the public on 7th

They’re based out of Chicago and had some labor problems. I can’t remember the details, but people were working 7 days a week, an employee died of Covid and everyone had to make up time. I think there were many shady business practices going on, so it’s no wonder they’re having trouble keeping up.

Now there are many similar brands.

H‑E‑B is probably prioritizing their brands and local brands instead.

Fresh Plus in Hyde Park had them two weeks ago.

The best, miss them too from local HEBs in the area .

  8. Xochitl are better imo. I used to buy milagro for years then tried xochitl.

But if you must, H‑E‑B in Leander always has them as well as our local Mexican Grocery stores.

I’m Mexican and I’ve never seen anything corn based that thin in any kitchens I’ve visited down here. I guess I’ll need to explore more Mexican kitchens. Not hating, I love those, just questioning the “Mexican Kitchen Style” moniker.

Too thin for dipping reliably. They are all yours.
