Tuna casserole is such an easy recipe to make. These are all things I keep in my cupboard. I am not sure why I have name brand stuff, or Walmart for that matter, I shop at Meijer (Midwest chain) and usually buy their private labelled stuff. Anyway, this is what I have. It easily makes about four servings. Boiled one cup noodles, and drained. Added the tuna, corn, peas and cream of chicken. Mix well. Add salt, pepper, garlic (I like a lot) and since I didn’t have an onion (gasp!), I added onion powder. It was at least 1 teaspoon of garlic and one of onion. Stit it all up and bake it in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes. That last step is not really needed but I think it brings everything together. My wife and I love this. True comfort food and it has a fair amount of veggies. I am not sure if the costs of all of this, but I looked up the Meijer branded items that I would normally use. Total came to $4.30 or about $1.08 per serving. Had I used regular tuna, it would be about $3.50 or $.90 per serving.
