LOL the new owners sound like they don’t know what they’re doing. Which often happens in the restaurant business.
I for one LOVE rib fest, it’s a summer tradition for me, so if they fuck this up there will be hell to pay

This is worth reading. I thought it was just a name change article but more in depth info.
This seems shady of this Ontario Festival Group. Sure sounds like they stole out the festival from the Rotary Club. They should at least offer to donate a portion of proceeds and then going forward they should work together.
Having said all of that, I remember when I used to be excited about rib fests… Like would go to the Burlington one or others and be trying to figure out which ribs to get…. I went back a few years ago to the “drive through” version of the Rib Fest in Oakville and was so disappointed. Felt like they purposely were creating lines, didn’t taste smoke flavour at all, overly sweet sauces. I will stick to smoking my own ribs for now.
