I moved my toaster to my dining room table and in 3-5 cycles have roasted nuts with my meal, so far I have tried walnuts which more fit in the tea steeper than pine nuts shown here here and the pine nuts cook a bit more unevenly

That is not a hack. If that metal somehow shorts, then you are as good as dead. I would NOT recommend doing this. It is extremely dangerous.
