In Korea, there is a day called “Boknal” which falls during the hottest period of the year known as the “Dog days of summer.”
To recover from the heat and boost energy, people often eat revitalizing foods. Boknal consists of three parts: “Chobok,” “Jungbok,” and “Malbok,” and yesterday was Chobok. Typically, people eat samgyetang, a chicken and ginseng soup, but I had Jjimdak instead! It’s delicious, especially with sweet potato noodles added.
Take care of your health in the hot weather-
