This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered a shrimp meal from Hello Fresh, and both times the shrimp arrived with the bag soaked. Does it always come like this? Is it safe to eat? The first time I got credit for the shrimp and the rest of the ingredients for that meal got wasted, but I really want to eat this spicy shrimp soup lol, so has anyone else gotten their shrimp like this and still safely eaten it? I don’t know if I should just give up on getting shrimp from Hello Fresh.

Yes, mine frequently arrives soaked like this. It’s just from condensation on the outside of the ice packs, I’m pretty sure.
Normal. Totally safe to eat, as long as the plastic package inside is intact. Mine don’t always look this soaked, but not far off. I just put it in a Ziploc bag (so my fridge shelf doesn’t get wet) and straight to the fridge; I cook shrimp dishes first, within the next two days typically. In fact, I’m getting one today, so we’ll see how soaked that one is. Being next to the ice packs I think is the biggest culprit here.
As said it’s just condensation from the ice packs. That paper bag like material is simply there to protect the thin plastic packaging that the shrimp is in. The shrimp is sealed separately, then wrapped in that paper.
This just happened to us as well.
Mine was delivered looking exact like this on Monday. I hope you like the spicy shrimp soup more than we did. I thought it was only okay and wouldn’t get it again.
