I have an Izakaya style Japanese place I always go to when I’m in Dallas, and I haven’t found a place that quite comes near this place(I’ll attach Yelp link at the bottom). Please if y’all have rec’s let me know.

The first place that comes to mind for this style of food that isn’t too expensive would be [Shi-Sen-Gumi](https://shinsengumigroup.com/) they have a few locations with different locations having different specialties. I don’t know how it would compare to the place in Dallas though.
Highly recommend Hakata Izakaya Hero
Izakaya Osen in Silverlake is a big fav of mine.
Izakaya Bizan, Osawa, Izakaya Gazen, Izakaya Tonchinkan, Torihei, Wadatsumi, Inaba, Komatsu, Shibumi, Ototo,
Furaibo is tasty
Go back to Dallas.
Hakata Izakaya Hero
Where are you based on LA? Depending on where you’re located, more appropriate recommendations can be made. In my opinion, the Gardena/Torrance area is going to get you the best authenticity and value. Little Tokyo will get you the most accessibility within actual walking distance, Sawtelle is lighter on izakaya shops but can still be found, and SGV has some sleeper hits if you know where to look.
KINJIRO.
n/soto 🧡
Sake House Miro – Miracle Mile
Shhh…best kept secret in LA . . . >!Bar Uerukamu!<
Another vote for ototo, furaibo, n/Soto.
