Absolutely loved this spot. I’ve been excited to go here for a while, and finally took my girlfriend here last weekend. Reservations were easy to book, plenty available (I grabbed one for 7:30 so could be there for sunset). I didn’t feel rushed like I do at a bunch of places because of that. Prices I thought were pretty good (apps were $8-15, pastas were $20-28, cocktails were $16). I know I’m tainted by a lot of LA restaurants, that’s why I felt like this was pretty cheap haha. We got the zucchini app, the linguine vongole, and the casarecce fra’diavola, as well as assorted wines beers and cocktails. Everything was SO GOOD.
Overall we had…1 beer, 1 wine, 5 cocktails, one app, and two pastas and walked out for like $210 with tip!

Okay with that many drinks that is a STEAL for LA standards. I am bookmarking this spot right now.

Ooh prices seem pretty reasonable and portions look good too.
I’m looking at this photo and it’s made me hyper-aware that I don’t think I’ve ever consumed pasta with while drinking cocktail. In fact, I almost never drink a cocktail while eating any kind of food.
Cocktails are for before or after a meal, the way I’ve been raised. Wine and beer are are for food.
Does it go well together?
I guess it would make sense if a restaurant was very intentional about pairing a cocktail with a dish. But you would have to be told that beforehand, and I’m having a hard time thinking about any cocktail I’ve ever had going with any pasta I’ve ever had. Everything just feels like a clash in my mind.
I don’t know why my mind is blown by this. Maybe it’s my Italian sensibilities. Please explain this to me more. I need to know, but I’m too afraid of wasting a meal to try on my own haha.
I hate when I live well under a mile from a place and don’t even know it exists! Thanks for the heads up – will definitely check it out.
