I’m 147cm and about 31 kg, been trying to eat more for the past few weeks now. At first, weight was 31.1 —> 30.55 in a week because I had been eating about 1000-1200 due to lack of appetite (only for a few days), then I increased to about 1300-1400 this week. Tbh didn’t expect to gain much since it was just a start, and in the past I had lost from 31.7 —> 31.1 on this amount. However, to my surprise, I had gained all the way up to 31 in a week!! I measured in 3 day intervals, so it had went from 30.55 —> 30.7 —> 31. I was quite glad I don’t have to eat as much and force feed myself to gain quickly. However, sharing this info with my friends who know about my weight gain journey, they said that this could just be fluctuation, and that I was probably not eating enough. Should I be increasing my intake? I’m quite okay with a 0.5kg weight gain per week. However, I’m not sure whether this is due to water weight either. Given, I am quite short and not very active, only about an hour’s walk with no further exercise. Would 1300-1400 be maintenance and this increase isn’t real weight gain, or is this actual gain?
