Made this months ago and forgot about it thinking since it’s so heavily salted it’s be fine. Buuut this doesn’t look right and can’t find any info online.

    If I remember correctly, I think I’ve seen something similar from my mom’s pickles. Idk if it’s gooey though. You can always try a piece and if it tastes normal, just remove the gooey stuff

    It could be golmaji(골마지), the same “mold” that forms when kimchi or jangajji gets oxidized when it gets exposed to air.
