Went to Tuccis after lots of y’all suggested it. Pictured is the grandmas ham and cheese roll (9), the half philly cheese (11) and half spicy italian sub, olive oil and vinegar, and hot peppers for (9.5) look at the portion sizes of those half subs! And it’s located in South Austin.

Thanks for all those who recommended it to me. I really enjoyed the sandwiches here. The ham and cheese one was delightful and the combinations of flavors were really good. The italian wasn’t the best of what i’ve had in town so far but for 9.5 i wasn’t complaining. The philly was really delicious and the flavors were spot on. I thought i would think it was too heavy but the seasonings and juicy vegetables on top of the meat were great. Plus they were so friendly to me as it was my first time. it was pretty packed with customers when i went despite being a weekday. it’s located in South Austin! 801 E William Cannon Dr

Easily my favorite sub shop in town. Once upon a time they had a sandwich called “Hot Capicola”. It was so damn good. It’s a shame it’s now off menu and no one there knows how to make it

Tuccis is a solid sub shop! Best part of that location is it shares the center with Mi Tradicion and Asiana

The ham and cheese is my favoriteeee! So delicious!

  5. Miss it, esp the ham and cheese (moved away). Try meatball too.

Tucci’s is a Delaware Subs that went independent when that chain started going south years ago. A lot of those original subs are still on the menu.

Back in the day it was one of the only places to get fresh (not pickled) jalapenos on a sandwich. Loved the Oak Hill location. Never made it to the other.

+1 for a great meatball sub

    Edit: spelling

Tucci’s is fucking amazing. Every now and then, I’ve brought in the gourmet Italian for lunch at work and people always ask me where I go.

Maybe it’s the fact they wrap it in butcher paper as the selling point lmao

In the early 80s, Jack in the Box had a “Hot Ham & Cheese” sandwich. I saw the commercial, the only Jack in the Box we knew of was over by my aunt’s apartment, so first time my mom takes us over to visit we beg her to take us there. One sibling was like “meh”, but I fell in love. First fast food I ever truly loved. And then it was gone…

And this ham and cheese looks almost the same, Jack in the Box even had black sesame seeds on their buns for this sandwich.

I need this in my life. Been to Tucci’s actually, love it, just didn’t realize this was on the menu, I was just looking for Italian subs, d’oh.

Best sandwich shop south of the river if you ask me. I love this place.

Great place. Fresh and really good. Lunch rush isn’t a joke. Guys hustle up there. My dad ordered a salad, never don’t that before. An owner took off and grabbed some for my dad. Great crew. Definitely Delaware subs lurking in the midst and could care less with my tuccis.

My go-to sandwich spot. Reminds me of a lot of the spots back home.

Tuccis is definitely a must eat place. I’ve met the owner a couple times. Even convinced me to like pickles on a sandwich.
