    Youll get more pumpkin from multiple than from one big one

  3. Bamboo is the same way…. New trees will grow from each node if left on the ground….. This is why stands of Bamboo can be grown to form a very dense fence….

  4. Whenever I plant pumpkins they take everything over why would I do this where they would just take over my whole backyard. Nobody uses all the pumpkins

  5. That’s cool and all man, but I’m pretty sure those are the variety that we all know and use around Thanksgiving/Halloween. They’re plenty good to eat, and bake well with a little nutmeg. The variety you should be looking for so far as pumpkins go are a hard skinned variety that is actually native to North America often called the pilgrims pumpkin. It’s still a squash, but it grows better and produces a better fruit for the people interested in really growing squash.

  9. In some parts of southern Africa namely Zimbabwe and Zambia, we eat the pumpkin leaves as vegetables much like your collard greens in the US. However in Zambia we add groundnut powder and in Zimbabwe we add peanut butter.
    We obviously strip the prickley bit but just thought I would share a little of my heritage

  12. I see you left several male flowers attached. Doesn’t that use up vital energy? I would think they should be removed.
