Bought this plant from an online market place. Was labelled as “giant jalapeno”, but I thinkt that it isn’t one as it lacks the jalapeno flavour and the walls of the fruit are relatively thin. The pepper started out green and then immediately turned into this inky, dark purple colour.

Is it purple or brown? I’ve had some chocolate habaneros that looked similar to this. Maybe there’s chocolate variants of others as well
