Toronto haaaaaassss
NY style pizza
Italian pizza
Detroit pizza
It used to have Chicago deep dish but now it has Detroit style pizza that people call Chicago deep dish
And now we even have Windsor pizza
Any former-Ottawa, now-local-to-Toronto folks know of a Toronto spot that has Ottawa-style pizza?
I’m talking hefty and thick, very fressh tasting crust (it tastes like… freshwater? Not wet but like, Evian if it were bread?), very rich almost pure tomato-paste sauce, toppings laid over the sauce and completely covered in like, half a brick of almost-squeaky cheese with a bubbly golden yellow crust on top?
Always with Lebanese Toum as a side sauce/dip?
Like Ottawa classics: colonnade, wally’s (rip), Gabriel’s even, house of Georgie’s, countless others
I miss Ottawa pizza. Is someone making it here?

Formatting got weird and forgot to mention that I *did* search first and found nothing… but can’t edit post.
please help me find my pizza dreams!
Is this written by a snake?
Unfortunately I couldn’t find any when I lived in Toronto for a few years, and I looked pretty hard.
Ottawa pizza is absolutely disgusting. You do not put cheese over toppings.
Ottawa style feels like it’s based on Lebanese style so maybe look for that
How to ruin any type of anything, make it “Ottawa-style”
This looks like Montreal style pizza. But no, I’ve never seen anything like it in Toronto
I ordered pizza from Levant recently and it reminded me of Ottawa. It’s not what you’re looking for but it has the right Lebanese touch. And it was really good.
I grew up in Ottawa but have now lived in Toronto for longer than I ever did there. I cannot visit Ottawa without ordering some Gabe’s.
Truth is, you won’t find it here. That description of freshwater crust was too perfect, Evian crust, nothing like it here.
Closest I’ve found is Dundas Pizza in the junction – thick, toppings under lots of cheese, but the sauce and crust is still off.
>colonnade
First thing I thought when I saw the title of this thread
I was confused when I left the valley and discovered that “combination” was not universally used to mean pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers
My dream is for Gabriel’s to come to Toronto.
I LOVE Ottawa-style pizza and miss it so much in Toronto. Nothing in Toronto compares to it. That’s Colonnade Pizza in the OP, yes? Delicious. Hands down, some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted.
Big Rig in Richmond Hill comes close.
I don’t know but does anyone know where to find New Haven style pizza?
It’s not 100% like Ottawa style but Pizza Pino in Ajax is kind of close. It’s delicious, thick ass cheese over the toppings. Excellent pizza, good price too. And they’re nice. Win win win win. Tell them Constantine sent you haha. They’ll know.
Ottawa pizza is disgusting. In the 4 years I lived there I didn’t have a single slice that I’d ever want to try again.
That’s fresh tasting? It looks like a grocery store pizza left out for a week.
Order the Sicilian Pizza at Pizza Gigi. I know exactly what you’re talking about and this is the answer.
I’m surprised you didn’t include Louis’ Pizza in your OP. By far the best pizza in Ottawa.
To me Ottawa style is Gabriel’s pizza
